After reading about it on here for years, I have decided to enter my first triathlon. Planning on Ironman Lanzarote 2011. I need help on the cheapest way to get the kit needed, bike, wetsuit, pedals, shoes etc. I know you get what you pay for, but looking for the cheapest way to get half decent equipment.Looked at the packages offered, and TriUK did seem to offer the best value, but they seem to have switched bikes from a Giant to Schwinn Fastback, which doesn’t seem to get such good reviews.Ideally looking to get all basics for about £700, what would people recommend to achieve this? Have thought of second hand, but dont know what to look for, likewise with getting parts and building a bike, I know nothing!!Any help/recommendations greatly received!
